Ametrine

✨Ametrine is a rare bichromatic quartz gemstone, where purple symbolizes wisdom and yellow represents wealth. It is believed to bring both wisdom and prosperity. In Western legends, ametrine is revered as the "love guardian stone," and those who wear it are considered capable of mastering their own destiny.
🔮Natural ametrine is mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and belongs to the trigonal (or hexagonal) crystal system. Studies have shown that the purple and yellow portions of ametrine are caused by tetravalent iron ions (Fe4+) and trivalent iron ions (Fe3+), respectively. Natural ionizing radiation (such as the natural K-40 isotope) converts iron ions and forms colors over long geological periods.
🔮Ametrine is divided into two main types:
1.Invasive rock color-change type: This type of ametrine, accounting for over 95% of ametrine, undergoes a color change from purple to yellow due to the intrusion of high-temperature magma.
2.Primary type: Also known as Trapiche ametrine, this type is relatively rare and has a complex formation process, accounting for less than 3%.
🔮The Anahí mine in Bolivia is the primary source of ametrine, and the Bolivian government strictly controls the export of the gemstone. The main exporting countries are Brazil and the United States. Due to ametrine's rarity, there are many imitations on the market, so caution should be taken when purchasing.
