Gold Sheen Obsidian

Gold Sheen Obsidian

✨Golden Obsidian, a volcanic glass renowned for its unique golden luster, blends natural wonders with profound cultural connotations. As a variant of black obsidian, Golden Obsidian is not only highly favored in the fields of jewelry and decoration, but its mystical color and sheen also grant it a significant position in crystal healing.
🔮 Golden Obsidian is formed during volcanic activity and is a natural lava glass. When a volcano erupts, the molten magma cools rapidly, failing to form a crystalline structure, thus producing a glass-like mineral. The main chemical component of Golden Obsidian is silicon dioxide (SiO₂), and its glass structure contains small amounts of elements such as iron, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. The formation of golden spots is typically due to uneven cooling in the molten state, leading to the creation of internal bubbles or tiny crystals. These microstructures reflect light, producing a golden glow.
🔮 Like other types of black obsidian, Golden Obsidian exhibits a glass-like luster and a conchoidal fracture. With a Mohs hardness of approximately 5 to 5.5, it demonstrates relatively high hardness and durability, making it suitable for use in jewelry and decorative materials. Additionally, its shimmering luster symbolizes inner light and potential, often used to enhance self-confidence and courage.
